WEEKEND WEATHER OUTLOOK

Temperatures will bolt to above seasonal norms today. Today's high will be in the upper 80's to mid 90's. Tonight's low temperature will drop to the upper 50's to mid 60's. As of 1:40pm, I am noticing a bit of moisture in the lower and upper levels of the atmosphere that could mix with afternoon heating to spawn a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Because of this I am putting in a 40% chance of rain. Temps have already soared into the low 90's, headed for mid to upper 90's. If the rain develops, this could bring us some relief. Top wind speeds will range from 15 to 35mph.

EXTENDED WEATHER OUTLOOK
Monday through Wednesday

July 4h is going to really heat up, with the high temperature reaching the low to upper 90's. With a little help from some warm winds off the mountains, we might just touch 100! I for one am not rooting for six digits on Independence Day! Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours. The chance of rain is only 10%. Temperatures will start to come down on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Tuesday's high topping out in the mid 80's to low 90's and Wednesday's high cooling to the low to upper 80's. There will also be a bit more moisture moving into the area so look for a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday.

STORM ANALYSIS
Thursday through Saturday

Temperatures will be near seasonal norms on Thursday, with the mercury rising on Friday and Saturday. Thursday's high will be in the low to upper 80's, with the highs for Friday and Saturday rising to the upper 80's to mid 90's. The good news is there will be stream of moisture moving up from the south and southwest so this could bring a chance for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. The chance of rain is 25 to 30% each day.
